A while ago, I got a loan of a hoodie, and it fit really well... arms went all the way down, which is important for people of my giantosity. It was an Abercrombie and Fitch hoodie.
So I went to their website to see if they still had it. They didn't, but they had one or two hoodies I liked, so I put them in the shopping cart and then tried to see how much shipping was.
To see how much shipping was, to continue with the order to that stage, I had to register an account. Which meant being put on their mailing list.

If you've been to Las Vegas recently you might've seen poster adds for the show "Thunder From Down Under" all over the damn place. I am very much aware that this is the nature of most corporations. The reason I brought it up is that some people seem NOT to be aware of this. It's just a company, it's not your friend.

I'm not placing an emphasis on "gay" as having a negative connotation. I'm saying that three half-naked dudes just hanging out; well, that's pretty gay. It's definitely homoerotic imagery and homoerotic imagery is pretty fucking gay.
I'm not stating any opinion on whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. But I don't think we should be afraid to say things are gay because "O no, people might think we mean gay in a BAD way". For example, two men having sex is pretty fucking gay. This isn't a value judgement... it's a statement of fact.
I think people are getting so aggressive because they forget that Abercrombie and Fitch is just a corporation, AND they associate the word "gay" with an insult. So they react defensively and, quite frankly, hilariously.

To the people saying the store is NOT gay: Have you ever walked INTO an abercrombie and fitch store? Usually, there's a picture of a giant man wearing briefs and nothing else with a steroid crafted body.
Casual athletic, my ass. I've been in pro swimming and running for years. I don't look like that, and unless I start getting assrammed while doing situps,probably won't.
The interior of the store has bright lamps blaring soft colors like baby pink,piss yellow, ect., on the patrons,and clothes.The inside of the store is dim, the clothes skanky, and whatever the hell is with the ripped jeans you pay 80$ for, when the rips even look piss stained yellow. There's techno-pop blaring, the kind you hear in almost ALL gay strip clubs.Oh, and for a few others, going to harass me? Giving a hand job to your buddy one night, or participating in a circle jerk, is GAY.
There's also the fact that it's an affiliate of XY Magazine, once publicly stated the clothes were for the effeminate male, and I don't know what in the hell IMAGE you're trying to convey, but it SCREAMS I'm a gay man spending daddy or hubbies money..

I would firstly like all of you to understand what the word gay means, in modern terms it is defined as homosexuality. Homosexuality is being sexually attracted to the same sex, i.e. boy fancies boy, or girl fancies girl.
Firstly, this advertisement is not aimed at females; it is promoting male clothing and was sent to a male customer, thus when producing this image, they had the target market in mind as being male.
Now, let's study this picture in detail. It seems to me that approximately 60-70% of the image is of the naked male body, some well defined ones at that. To me this seems to be very homoerotic, and to anyone that disagrees, please explain why straight males should enjoy looking at naked men? So you say that if a man looks at that they will think 'look at that body, it's mighty fine, I wish I had a body like that'. That thought process was one of a gay man.
Now I've never been in an Abercrombie shop, nor do I know what their clothing looks like, but it is quite plain to a logical and rational thinking mind, that they are quite gay.
I don't think there is any argument against this, hence if you do respond in negativity towards my post, you must be a moron.

I think the prices are alright, but AnF IS pretty expensive for what they are offering. All their clothes do look the same to me and it does make some guys look gay. But here where I live, AnF is more of an asian thing. I don't know why, but it seems to me that every asian person wears AnF like everyday. People also take it as a status symbol. So, if you don't like it, nobody cares. It's popular anyway, and your opinion doesn't really matter. Asian people do wear AnF or Hollister, because that's where the clothing is made. In Asia. Also, people who say the quality is good... It's not. It's pretty bad. It tears easily, and there was never one time when I bought something at Hollister of Abercrombie that something wasn't flawed.
