Ireland's first Christian radio station

Former male model Dave Heffernan is set to launch Spirit FM, Ireland's first Christian radio station, at midnight this Friday. It will be on 89.9FM.

Spirit FM

I work in the same office as Dave, and it has been very busy. On Tuesday we had the microwave uplink installed (it waves quite a lot in the wind I can tell you), and today they had a test broadcast from Three Rock.

You should be able to hear Spirit FM anywhere in Dublin, on 89.9FM, every weekend for the next three months. You may even hear myself and Paul, but I think our ideas for a radio programme might increase the libel insurance premium.

By the way, Dave says, "all donations welcome... kerching".

Phil:

Apparently they are taking requests until 3pm today.
Just post here.
I think they need to operate a phone-in as well, but they probably haven't got the "TECHNOLOGY" yet. Soon hopefully..

Chris Singh:

Read an article in Irish Independent and it seems that Spirit FM 89.9 is a hit already. I wish it was streaming on the internet, as I am outside Dublin and cannot hear the station, but am dying to hear. I wish you all the best - keep doing the great work and keep Spirit alive on the air waves of Dublin. I agree with Phil a phone would have been nice to do phone-in, may use text and SMS. Can we have a number?
